What Keeps You Up At Night

I've realized on this new journey, one of the things that scares me most is sharing with people what this new journey is.
This scares me for a couple of reasons; but the main one is I don't want them to feel pressured to support me/us. I feel this because when a friend tells me they are starting a company, I feel that I should support them because, well, that's what I've been told friends do. (I know I'm a shitty friend and we'll get to that another time, but you're apparently supposed to support friends). So, I don't want anyone to feel obligated to watch our vlogs or buy our clothing. I want people to support us because we have good clothing, think we are funny, and can relate to us.
Us starting a vlog was a way to share with people who we are because bodybuilding is not just a hobby, it's a passion and it's our lifestyle. A lifestyle that not a lot of people understand. Just as I don't understand a lot of social norms, I'll never understand the obligation to support friends. That's why I don't want to tell people we started a clothing line. A lot of people already don't understand me. Why would they understand that they don't have to buy our clothes or watch our vlogs just because they're our friends or know us? Don't get me wrong, I want your support; we've got good shit, but I know life is hard, money's tight, and clothing is expensive. So I don't expect my friends to support me.
So, something that keeps me up at night is worrying that people will feel obligated to support me and I don't want to be an obligation.

I think most people who support don’t do it out of obligation but because they truly want to. Even if it’s under the guise of “friends support friends” I think it comes more from a place of love or even because it makes them feel good.
If people feel obligated that’s not on you. You aren’t forcing anyone to do anything. 🩵
Keep on being amazing! I’m loving catching these blog posts.
