Everything Happens For a Reason

As some of you might know, I've recently had a change in my career.
With this change, I have come to learn a couple of things: one, you need to learn to walk before you can run; two, most people won't live long enough to see their dreams come true; and three, I'm not like most people.
Now I know those sound like clichés, but hear me out. I used to do everything at full speed, I used to dream with no limits and run until my legs would give out. Then I'd sit there crying over the fact that my ankles would be killing me, that I wasn't VP of innovation in under 6 months or that I couldn't play the Pirates of the Caribbean theme song on cello within 6 hours of ever picking up the instrument.
The fact is, I wouldn't take the time to learn the basics. I just saw the end goal and expected I could be there without having to learn how to read sheet music or being surprised that there would be consequences for telling your boss they are bad at their job.
Apparently, people don't take kindly to being told they suck. Hindsight...
But because of these "new revelations," I've been given the opportunity to dream, and hopefully, this time I can keep my foot out of my mouth long enough to learn how to walk lol.
I'm not quite sure yet where this journey will go, but I am hopeful in finally taking it slow. So please bear with me as I share with you my random thoughts and my meandering experiences.
Shaune.
